  • Responsibilities

    This position is specific to the construction phase of a project for a healthcare client. The position will be located on the job site in Venice, Florida and last approximately two years.

    • Oversee the day-to-day administration of construction contracts in accordance with the Owner-Architect agreement.
    • Facilitate timely communication between the owner, contractor, architect and consultants.
    • Review and evaluate RFIs and submittals. Bring questions or concerns to the attention of design team members who will address problems and suggest resolutions.
    • Monitor construction changes, shop drawings, samples, and other submissions of the contractor.
    • Perform on-site observations and document results relative to the contractor's conformance with contract documents.
    • Provide prompt and expeditious service as requested regarding matters of interpretation, decision, construction bulletins, and other matters that contribute to a smooth work flow.
    • Conduct pre-construction and progress meetings as outlined in the project specifications and issue relevant documentation in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for reviewing overall project technical quality, organization and content of project documents.

    Qualifications

    • Ten years of extensive on-site experience overseeing medium to large-scale, technically complex buildings required; experience with healthcare projects required.
    • Proficiency in Revit (ability to view and understand documents) and knowledge of Project Website software and Microsoft Office required.
    • Successful completion of the Construction Documents Technology (CDT) program encouraged; Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) certification strongly preferred.
    • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer in the United States or National Council of Architecture Registration Board (NCARB) certification preferred.
    • LEED certification preferred.
