Sustainable Design Specialist

# Positions


  • Champion Flad’s sustainability efforts around wellness and operational/embodied carbon reduction by supporting AIA 2030 Commitment Reporting, sustainable design research, and firm-wide continuing education efforts

  • Assist project teams in performing design analysis, including daylight analysis, building life-cycle analysis, and early-design energy modeling.
  • Assist project teams pursuing LEED certification.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, interior design or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in the design and construction industry required; experience on projects pursuing sustainability or wellness certifications preferred.
  • LEED AP BD+C preferred. Must have within 6 months of accepting this role.
  • Intermediate Revit knowledge required; have used Revit for at least two years in academic and professional settings. Expert Revit knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with Cove.tool, Revit Insight, energy modeling software preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to foster relationships and work across teams and offices.
