  • Provide BIM support for project teams, including troubleshooting, project model setup, content development, loading Revit links from consultants, and file export.
  • Understand and ensure compliance to firm BIM standards, guidelines, and best practices. Ensure BIM models adhere to all internal and client specific standards. Perform periodic QA/QC audits of project files to ensure compliance.
  • Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, and design work in drawing, model and 3D image formats.
  • Responsible for preparing presentation drawings and models and developing designs and technical solutions throughout all phases of a project.
  • Generate revisions and corrections from outline mock-ups, redlined drawings and project document sets.
  • Conduct BIM training for new employees and share BIM tips and tricks with current staff. 
  • Participate in the BIM Committee for the purpose of knowledge sharing, best practices, lessons learned, and identifying new technology. Interface remotely with the BIM Manager.
  • Manage data on various cloud based platforms and related file sharing sites.

  • Responsible for preparing presentation drawings and models and developing designs and technical solutions throughout all phases of a project. Become involved in coordination for internal team members and consultants.
  • Develop a project’s program into alternative conceptual design proposals. Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, and design work in drawing, model and 3D image formats.
  • Generate revisions and corrections from outline mock-ups, redlined drawings and project document sets.
  • Attend client meetings to observe the overall process and develop presentation skills.
  • Participate in construction site visits to better understand the construction process.
  • Recognize and document conflicts that arise during construction and development, and offer alternatives to resolve these issues.

  • Perform on-site observations and document results relative to the quantity and quality of the contractor's performance.
  • Provide prompt and expeditious service regarding issues of interpretation, construction bulletins, payment request and other matters that contribute to an efficient process.
  • Review and evaluate RFIs and submittals. Bring questions or concerns to the attention of design team members who will address problems and suggest resolutions.
  • Monitor construction changes, shop drawings, samples, product data and/or other submissions from the contractor.
  • Review shop drawings, reject work that does not conform to the construction documents, and record the issues with a corrective action report or non-conforming work notice.

  • Within the strategic markets, identify potential client and project targets, and conduct research to determine their viability for Flad.
  • Explore and develop a variety of lead sources for potential targets. Monitor trends and clients.
  • Develop strategies to cultivate targets, as well as identify the key decision makers in the client’s organization, potential competitors, and key issues.
  • Work with the appropriate individuals to develop the strategy for proposal (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) responses. Assist with proposal development to ensure a customized response.
  • Investigate and establish partnering opportunities with other professional organizations. Develop and maintain contacts with appropriate industry related individuals and subject matter experts.
  • Assist with the strategy, preparation, and coaching for project interviews.
  • Develop a strategy for Flad’s participation in trade shows, seminars and other speaking opportunities for firm members.

  • Teaming with lead Interior Designers, responsible for determining functional requirements, providing programming and space planning, facilities planning and material selections and specifications on projects to support all elements of interior design.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, other disciplines, consultants, and vendors to align interior environments with the exterior for a unified and cohesive design.
  • Responsible for Revit documentation for all interior design related project items (including millwork, walls, ceilings, floors, etc.). Assist with project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
  • Prepare presentation materials to communicate concepts during client presentations and project meetings.
  • Research materials and concepts to develop an in-depth knowledge of products.
  • Assist with implementation, coordination, and installation of interior design concepts on schedule and within budget.
